Janáček Brno 2010 - international music festival

Janáček Brno 2010, the name of this international music festival, reminds us of the inseparable connection of the genius composer with the Moravian capital. Janacek's close relationship to Brno is due to the fact that he spent most of his life there, but above all thanks to the significant contribution he made through his relentless organizational, conducting and educational work to Brno's cultural environment to influence it for many years to come and turn it into a cultural capital. The main festival's organizer is the National Theatre Brno. The project's ambition is to create a festival tradition similar to Wagner's Bayreuth, Mozart's Salzburg and other music events of European significance.
